West Riding Recruitment will be supporting the annual Wakefield Car Show which for the first time in 14 years, returns to the city centre in 2017.

The Classic and American Car Show, which is one of the county’s largest car shows, takes place on Sunday 30th April 2017.

For the past few years, the event has taken place at Silcoates School, however due to popularity it is re-locating. As a result, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever!

What will be on show?

With many car clubs in attendance there will be something for everyone, with cars ranging from 1930’s models right through to those from the modern age including a Shelby Mustang GT500, AKA ‘Eleanor’, and a ‘Captain American’ and his custom motorbike.

Phil Pickard, Director of West Riding Recruitment, official sponsors of the event alongside a variety of local businesses, comments: “This event is a great opportunity for the Wakefield District. Not only will it raise funds for two fantastic charities – Yorkshire Air Ambulance and The Alzheimer’s Society, but it will also drive visitors into the city centre, increasing footfall for local business. It’s certainly a great addition to the districts events calendar.”
